Enhancing Your Beauty within the cities of San Diego, Carlsbad, Del Mar & nearby areas of California

One of the most repeated questions we receive at Avalon Laser San Diego is, “Why do I need to repeat laser hair removal treatments?”. Therefore, I think this will be a good subject to share with our readers.

Laser hair removal uses the standard recommendation for time between treatments. Those guidelines are as follows: Facial Laser Hair Removal is spaced 4-6 weeks apart, as facial hair tends to grow back fast the rest of the body. Body laser hair removal should be spaced 6-8 weeks apart. Laser hair removal appointments are spaced apart and repeated for similar reasoning. Our hair follicles grow in cycles, at any given time your hair is growing in various phases. Laser Hair Removal uses a specific laser that emits a wavelength that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle, which in turn will immobilize the follicle from producing new hair growth. With each treatment you will begin to see a reduction in hair growth. Typically, six treatments are ideal to see optimal hair reduction. However, sometimes patients require more thank six treatments. Facial Laser Hair Removal tends to be finer hair and more stubborn to eradicate, consequently requiring more than six treatments. Additionally, lighter hair colors, such as blond or red hair tends to be stubborn and require anywhere from 8-10 treatments.

Our patients have seen wonderful results with Laser Hair Removal in San Diego and are very happy with their choice to move forward with treatments.
