Our Medical Doctor

As a fourth-generation physician, Dr. Tirgari was raised with exacting standards of discipline and dedication to his profession.

In addition to obtaining dual-Board Certification as well as additional training in Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. Tirgari has practiced and taught at the University of Tennessee, Emory University and George Washington University as well as provided public-service television interviews for health education and public health issues. In addition to clinical research during medical school and residency, he undertook a full year of breast-cancer research at the prestigious Lombardi Cancer Institute of Georgetown University. It was during this time, after spending time around breast-cancer survivors, that Dr. Tirgari fully appreciated the importance of self-image to women.

Dr. Tirgari is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.  He holds certification in Aesthetic Medicine, Laser Hair Removal, Botox and Dermal fillers, and has practiced as Medical Director to two major cosmetic medical spa companies prior to joining Avalon Laser. He specializes in prescribing the best course of treatment for specific skin conditions so clients can obtain optimum skin health and beauty. As he always tells his clients “the ultimate goal of any cosmetic procedure is to achieve beauty without anybody knowing that a procedure was done”.

Jennifer Wolfe – RN

Jennifer Wolfe, R.N. perfected her clinical skills through her extensive background in clinical nursing prior to her leadership role at Avalon Laser. Her compassion for patients naturally led to her initial career in oncology where she managed a variety of patients with challenging medical conditions during difficult periods in their lives. This compassion and caring for others has been a cornerstone of her role in Aesthetic Medicine over the past several years.

Ms. Wolfe holds certificates in Medical Aesthetics, Laser Medicine, VelaShape and Body contouring, as well as Botox and Dermal fillers. Even with her experience and training she continues to hone her skills, and she regularly attends ongoing seminars and training sessions on the latest procedures and technology.

As both a mom and an active athlete, Ms. Wolfe understands the changes that occur to the body and skin with time and is an expert at evaluating a client’s condition and working with them to recommend a treatment plan to fit their specific needs.

Sherrie St.Clair – RN, NP.

Sherrie St. Clair, RN, Nurse Practitioner has been involved in women’s health as an OB/GYN Nurse practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife since 1993.  Her education and experience have made her one of the most versatile practitioners in San Diego.

Ms. St. Clair has been involved in Medical Aesthetics since 2002. Formally trained  in San Francisco by the prestigious Esthetic Skin Institute, she holds certification in Medical Esthetics, Botox, Dermal Fillers and Laser Medicine.  Ms. St. Clair was also one of the clinicians participating in the original clinical trials for FDA approval of Botox & Juvederm.  With her clinical background and enormous experience, she is able to advise and treat clients of all ages and skin types.

When not helping women and men looking and feeling their best, Ms. St. Clair enjoys yoga, hiking and gardening.

Lauren Azzeh – RN

Lauren Azzeh recognizes the connection between looking good and feeling good.  This nexus has created a lifetime mission for her to empower both women and men with confidence.  Through her involvement in the aesthetic industry, she has gained extensive experience and knowledge on various lasers and the effects they have on the skin.

Lauren couples friendly and professional customer service with her training in state of the art technology to addresses hair removal, acne and skin rejuvenation.  Her combination of TLC with technical know-how often  meets and, in many cases, exceed patients’ expectations.

Lauren holds certifications for multiple cosmetic laser platforms.  She continues to upgrade her aesthetic training to help her clients revitalize the  youthful skin that can be attained by everyone.  She is a native San Diegan, residing in Cardiff-by-the-Sea and her free time is consumed with maintaining an active lifestyle that has her deeply involved with her two young children.  She enjoys volunteering at her children’s school and cheering for them on the soccer sidelines. Lauren also can be found hiking the Torrey Pines trails and attending barre class.

Angelica Camargo – RN, cFNP

Angelica Camargo brings extensive aesthetic and nursing experience to her role with Avalon Laser.  She received her nursing degree in 1996 and received her Master’s Degree/FNP Certificate in Nursing from UCSD/SDSU in 2003.  Angelica has been working in Family Health, Nephrology and Aesthetic Medicine in San Diego for the past 10 years.  She regularly attends seminars and training programs to enhance her Aesthetic Medicine knowledge and techniques to bring the best possible solutions to her patient’s areas of concern.
When not attending to the needs of her patients, Angelica practices yoga at every opportunity and loves to travel internationally.
